How do I confirm or cancel my appointment via TurnUp?

In this article, you’ll learn what kind of messages you may receive from TurnUp and how to confirm or cancel your appointment, depending on the channel.

You will receive messages and notifications about your appointment via TurnUp.
Sometimes you don’t need to do anything. Sometimes your confirmation is required.

👉 Whether you need to confirm your appointment depends on your appointment history with the practice.

📩 What messages can you receive?

1. Appointment reminder (no action required)

You receive a reminder (via email or the TurnUp app):

  • 8 days before your appointment

  • 24 hours before your appointment

➡️ You don’t need to do anything. This is just a reminder.

2. Request to confirm your appointment (action required)

You receive a message (via email, SMS or the TurnUp app) asking you to:

  • confirm your appointment

  • or cancel your appointment

These messages are sent:

  • 8, 6 and 4 days before your appointment

➡️ Action is required. Click Confirm or Cancel in the message.

If you don’t respond:

  • you will continue receiving reminders

  • the practice may contact you directly

📱 Through which channels will you receive these messages?

You may receive messages via:

  • the TurnUp app

  • email

  • SMS

Each message clearly shows whether you need to:

  • do nothing

  • or confirm/cancel your appointment

⏰ What happens if I don’t respond?

If confirmation is required and you do not respond:

  • you will keep receiving reminders until 24 hours before your appointment

  • the practice may contact you directly

❌ Can I always cancel via TurnUp?

If cancellation is possible, this option will be clearly shown in the message.
If not, please contact your practice directly.
