Automatic Last-Minutes

What happens when a patient cancels?

When a patient cancels their appointment via TurnUp, the system will automatically try to create a new last-minute for other patients on the waitlist.

🔁 What is synced

  • The cancelled appointment is also cancelled in Dentally

  • If eligible patients are found:

    • A new last-minute is created

    • It’s synced to Dentally

    • Invites are sent out automatically

  • If no patients match:

    • No last-minute is created

    • The clinic will receive a notification

📧 Email notifications

1. Successful automatic last-minute
"A new last-minute has been created for [Practitioner] on [date]."
➤ Includes: doctor, time, treatment, and which patients were invited.


2. No eligible patients found
"No last-minute could be created for [treatment] for [Practitioner] because no matching patients are available."
➤ Helps the clinic understand waitlist gaps.
