Add a Patient to the Waitlist via Dentally

Adding a patient to the TurnUp waitlist via Dentally is easy — just follow your normal actions inside Dentally.

✅ How does it work?

When a patient is added to the Dentally waitlist, TurnUp will pick it up during the hourly sync.

• Search for the patient via the search bar or via the calendar view
• Go to the “Appointments” tab and click ‘+ Waiting List’

• Choose the correct waiting list (based on the patient’s issue) and save

• The patient is now added and will appear at the bottom of the list

⏱️ Note: this sync is not instant, it runs every 15 minutes.

If no matching appointment is found:

• The patient is added without a linked agenda. This means that the patient can be invited to last-minute appointments of any practicioner.

• The patient is added without a linked appointment

🔄 Sync from TurnUp to Dentally

If a patient is added in TurnUp and the Dentally sync is active:

• The sync is instant

• The patient will appear in Dentally under the right treatment list

Example: added to “Pain” waitlist in TurnUp = immediately appears in the “Pain Waiting List” in Dentally

IMPORTANT: The patiënt has to exist in Dentally for this to work!

🔁 Changes in Dentally

• Changes to treatment or duration are synced to TurnUp

• The linked appointment remains unchanged

Example: a patient is linked to a “Pain” appointment and moved to “Urgent” in Dentally → TurnUp updates the treatment, but keeps the appointment

⚠️ Changes in TurnUp

Changes made to waiting list items in TurnUp are not synchronized back to Dentally, except for new registrations. This ensures consistency and keeps Dentally as the primary source for waiting list management.
