How to Create a Last-Minute (= Duration)
A perfect match for your available time slot
This feature reads the appointment data of a dummy patient named “TurnUp LastMinute” from Exquise Next Generation and creates a Last-Minute slot in TurnUp that matches the exact same duration as the original appointment.
Unlike the “≤ duration” option, this version will only allow new appointments with the same duration.
For example: a 30-minute Last-Minute slot can only be filled by a patient whose appointment also lasts 30 minutes.
✅ How to Use It
-
Ensure Exquise is running
-
Exquise Next Generation must be open and you must be logged in.
-
The TurnUp integration only works when Exquise is active and accessible.

-
-
Open the “TurnUp LastMinute” appointment in Exquise
-
Make sure the following information is visible:
-
Name
-
Date of birth
-
No phone number (this ensures only real patients with valid contact details are matched)

-
Appointment details (doctor, date, duration)

-
-
-
Click the TurnUp icon in your system tray
-
From the menu, choose “Maak een Last-Minute (= duurtijd)”

-
-
TurnUp will process your request
-
The TurnUp icon will start spinning to indicate the action is being processed.
-
After completion:
- ✅ Success: A pop-up will confirm the Last-Minute slot was created.
All patients on the relevant waitlist (same doctor and exact same duration) will receive an email notification.
The first patient to claim the slot will be automatically assigned.
- ❌ Failure: A pop-up will explain the issue, such as:
“No matching patients on the waitlist” or other data-related problems.
📩 What happens after a patient claims the slot?
Once a patient confirms the appointment:
-
The organization will receive an email confirming the Last-Minute slot was filled.
-
The clinic should then:
-
Remove the original appointment and the dummy “TurnUp LastMinute” entry in Exquise.
-
Create a new appointment at the earlier time for the patient who claimed it.
-
