Receiving an email that you're on the waitlist does not mean your current appointment has been cancelled. Your original appointment is still scheduled and remains valid.

If you're placed on the waitlist while already having a scheduled appointment, this simply means you’re given the opportunity to come in earlier. TurnUp will send you an invitation when an earlier time slot becomes available.
