Create a Last-Minute Appointment in Dentally

Creating a Last-Minute via Dentally is simple and powerful. Here’s how it works:

✅ How does it work?

1. Click on an empty time block in the agenda of a practitioner

2. Select the “TurnUp Patient” (a dummy patient from initial sync)

3. Choose the appropriate treatment - this is mandatory in Dentally

   1. Invite patients based on a specific treatment combined with a duration

   2. Select “Other” to create a last-minute slot based on duration only, without a specific treatment.

🔁 After saving:

• The appointment is created in Dentally

• TurnUp receives a webhook

• If the patient = TurnUp Patient, it is seen as a Last-Minute

📩 What happens next?

TurnUp will attempt to create a Last-Minute and invite waitlisted patients who match:

• Same practitioner

• Same treatment / duration without specific treatment

• Duration equal or shorter than the created time slot (<=

❌ No eligible patients?

• The appointment will be automatically removed from Dentally

• The practice will receive an email

• Info includes practitioner, date, treatment

✅ Last-Minute successfully created?

• Last-Minute is created

• Invitations are sent (email/app/sms)

• The block remains until claimed

• Practice receives confirmation by email
